France to end Kabul airport evacuations on Friday

France to end evacuations from Kabul tomorrow Friday evening due to announced withdrawal of US troops who control the airport until August 31.

The French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, said this Thursday, in a radio interview RTL, What these evacuation operations will continue “until tomorrow evening” because then the French soldiers who deal with the aircraft will have to leave Kabul airport.

He recalled that in addition to the repatriation of the French who were in Afghanistan, these flights which stop at their Abu Dhabi air base before heading to Paris, have allowed withdraw some 2,500 Afghans from Kabul.

Castex noted that once these air rotations are completed, there will be a new phase with the Afghans who will continue to flee their country.
