Each April 2 since 1982, the country remembers the Falklands war. From Ushuaia to the Quiaca, capitals, towns and villages, each in its own way, pay tribute to veterans and victims of the collapse of the islands.

This 2019 will be no exception and even the celebrations have an extra feeling: they no longer remain to be recognized 10 bodies of which two years ago there were 237 soldiers "only known to God" in the Darwin cemetery.

The events taking place across Argentina are divided between traditional events, such as the Fuegian symbolic vigil, led by veterans of the city of Rio Grande, to new proposals.

Among them last Sunday, a group of amateur swimmers grouped behind the slogan "Swim not to forget", they remembered the fallen ex-combatants crossing the sea Mar del Plata, from Playa Constitución to Torreón del Monje.

In the event, there were representatives of the ex-Marines Center of the Malvinas de Mar del Plata and the Marplatense Kayak Association. Prove that marches, mobilizations or military parades are the only way to remember.

In Puerto Madryn sport will also be the means to honor the soldiers. On April 2nd the race will take place "Falkland hero in tribute", which before the closing of the registration last week, already had 250 registered.

The race, which takes place every year, will start at 9 am from the Malouines monument in the city of Chubut and will have two possible routes: 8 kilometers and 4 kilometers.

In Rio Gallegos, the 3rd Caravan was held SundayMalvinas Forever Argentinas ", conducted by the local Veterans Center.

The caravan visited various monuments, murals and the house of the soldier's parents. José Honorio Ortega, the only soldier santacruceño fallen into the war.

It is in this same city that will be held the traditional vigil next Tuesday, transmitted to the whole country by Radio Nacional.
