According to Resolution 476-E / 2017 published in the Official Gazette, as of April 1, all international flights, with the exception of services to and from Uruguay, must be made from the airport of Buenos Aires.
The process began last May when 50% of the international flights operated by Aeroparque Jorge Newbery were transferred to Ezeiza, completing the measure ordered by the national government with the rest of the flights.
The measure is aimed at "decompressing" Aeroparque and giving it greater operational capacity to accommodate new low-cost airlines.
Meanwhile, Aerolineas Argentinas will transfer 38 daily frequencies from Aeroparque to Ezeiza, as part of the process of de-regionalization of the metropolitan air base.
According to the airlines, the airline will strengthen its international operations through the transfer by strengthening links between inland cities and neighboring countries to transatlantic destinations.
The destinations that will be transferred to Ezeiza and which are now operated from Aeroparque are 9. Thanks to these operations, Aerolíneas will add an average of 56 daily flights from Ministro Pistarini airport.
