Google's historic fine in Europe: € 4,300 million

The European Commission will impose a record fine of 4,300 million euros on Google (Alphabet) for abuse of dominant position via Android.

Google requires that mobile device manufacturers with this operating system install by default. some apps, such as Google Search or Chrome browser.

The European Commission opens the investigation for Android in 2015 and officially accuses Google a year after the implementation of a strategy "to maintain and strengthen its dominant position in the general Internet search."
