The national government on Sunday ordered the suspension of the entry of flights from Great Britain after the appearance of a new strain of Covid-19, which, according to the authorities of this country, is “out of control” , official sources reported today. .

In this way, British Airways flight BA245, which arrives tomorrow at 9:20 am at Ezeiza International Airport from London, will be the last to enter from that country until further notice.

Official sources indicated that the decision was taken “on the basis of the recommendations of the Health portfolio”, therefore “it was decided not to allow the arrival of the flight scheduled for this Monday at 9 am at the international airport of Ezeiza, in which passengers, as well as the crew, must comply with a 7-day quarantine, once they have proven the requirements to enter the country: a PCR test with a negative result and COVID insurance ” .

Before the arrival of this only flight which will arrive from Great Britain, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the National Directorate for Migration (DNM), under the Ministry of the Interior, will conduct a special operation to Ezeiza to control the arrival. passengers and crew, as well as transfer to sites where isolation will be carried out.

In the meantime, the DNM will reliably inform the jurisdictions in which passengers and crew have made their home in the affidavit, in order to monitor strict compliance with mandatory isolation.
