Councilors released the resolution after hearing the preliminary results from the provinces of Morona Santiago and Pastaza, and from overseas constituencies: the United States and Canada, Europe, Asia and Oceania, Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa.
In this sense, the electorate I have certified that there are no outstanding resources to resolve.
The president of the CNE, Diana Atamaint, assured that “the success of the electoral day” corresponds to a collective work, “to the support of the functions of the State, to the contribution of the police forces and that the citizen is entered in peace, with joy and taking care of his health at the polls. “
For his part, the vice-president of the CNE, Enrique Pita, assured that the work carried out by the electorate was attached to the law and offered opportunities for citizens to go and vote and reduce absenteeism.
“This process, which ends today, has received massive support,” he said.
Likewise, Councilor Jos Cabrera said that, despite the sanitary and economic conditions, “the work of electoral officials, international recommendations and the participation of Ecuadorians, the elections were transparent”.
Councilor Esthela Acero congratulated the citizenship of Ecuadorians and underlined the work of the members of the reception committees “which made it possible, with their efforts and their capacities, to obtain a smooth process”.
For his part, Councilor Luis Verdesoto stressed that the votes are a numerical expression of the will of each of the voters who showed responsibility when going to vote.
The formalization of the results took place a day before Lasso met with leader Lenn Moreno at the Palacio de Carondelet to move the transition process forward.
