Gustavo Petro continues to lead the intention to vote in Colombia, according to Guarumo survey

This Tuesday, the last Guarumo survey was known applied to 1480 Colombians on four central points of national interest: the Government of President Iván Duque; Coronavirus; National strike; and elections 2022.

On this last point, the pollster revealed what others have shown on the presidential elections of next year and it is that the senator Gustavo Petro directs the intention of the vote, at least for now, when Uribe’s official candidate is not known. Colombian leader Humana appears with 20.6% of the voting intentions.

Second appears Sergio fajardo, one of the Coalition of Hope candidates with the 9.8% of intention. In a technical connection with Fajardo, the former mayor of Medellín appears, Federico gutierrez, with a voting intention of 8.5% of those measured.

In fourth place, according to Guarumo’s survey, the former mayor of Barranquilla, Alejandro Char, appears with 4.5%. Juan Manuel Galán, Juan Carlos Pinzón and Humberto de la Calle follow the list with 3%, 2.8% and 2.3% respectively.

Also surprising in this survey is the high percentage of people who do not have a candidate and this is a number that even exceeds what Petro achieved. 20.4% of those questioned did not vote for any of the candidates. For the option of another who is not on the list, 8.3% voted and he does not know and does not answer, he obtained 15.8%.

As for the favorability of President Iván Duque, it barely reaches 28.9% while the unfavorability reaches 58.7%, according to Guarumo’s measure. On the issue of the national strike, the pollster consulted: “Do you agree or disagree with the way the president has handled the current situation of the protests?”. What 55.6% say they disagree, against 34.6% who say they agree.

Álvaro Uribe and Gustavo Petro increase their negative image, according to Invamer

On May 24, the results of the Invamer Pool poll were released, which measures the approval ratings of local and regional leaders and other political leaders. According to the survey, the former president Álvaro Uribe had one of the most surprising numbers for his followers: its unfavorable image continues to grow. Senator Gustavo Petro also had some interesting points to analyze.

According to the study, the natural leader of the Democratic Center fell from 58% in February to 65% in April and, now in May, according to Invamer, 73% negative image. In other words, in just four months, Uribe’s negative image has increased by 15 points.

According to the survey, Senator Gustavo Petro increased his favorability by three points in the opinion of those who responded and had a three point increase in his negative image, which rose from 45 to 48%. In other words, its unfavorable image stands at 38%.
