The confession made by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan during the interview with Oprah Winfrey about her life in the British royal family and her decision to leave her left several questions unanswered.

How will the royal family react?

Buckingham Palace did not comment before or after the publication of the two-hour interview. According to UK media, he is unlikely to do so, except to respond to direct criticism from some personally mentioned members.

However, the revelations can be devastating, as Meghan claims she received no support when she said she was having thoughts of suicide. Charges of racism against an unidentified member of the royal household are also a particularly sensitive issue in the UK, which saw big protests last year by the Black Lives Matter movement.

A reaction is particularly expected from Enrique’s older brother, Guillermo, and his wife Catalina.

During the interview, Meghan said that, contrary to what the British press had published, it was not she who made Catalina cry in an incident shortly before her wedding, quite the contrary.

Enrique, whose mother-in-law is black, has vowed never to reveal which member of the royal family asked him how dark his son Archie’s skin would be. This statement has sparked a lot of speculation and will not improve the reputation of the royal family, already criticized for its harshness.
