He Found Injured Cockroach On The Street, Took It To The Vet, And Saved Its Life | the Chronicle

The empathy of health professionals is an undeniable virtue that has been strengthened during the health crisis due to the coronavirus. But the object of this dedication is not always a human being. Thanu Limpapatatanawanich, a veterinarian at Thailand, devotes his life to taking care of dogs, cats, birds and, on this special occasion, cockroaches.

While making his rounds in the Samut Sakhon Hospital, Thanu received a man who was carrying his next patient. As he told The Dodor, the man came hastily from the street where had saved a cockroach after a car has stepped on it. Unable to leave the insect injured, decided to take her to receive medical assistance to try to save his life.

Moved by man’s generosity, Thanu decided to admit the insect as a patient for free.. Having never operated on a cockroach, the vet decided to place it in an oxygenated jar to facilitate its recovery.

Although the man made no attempt to be recognized, Thanu couldn’t help but share the unusual episode on his account. Facebook: “Emergency last night. Someone stepped on a cockroach that was lying on the side of the road. At this moment, a nice man came by and saw him, so he rushed to take her to the emergency veterinary hospital. It didn’t take long for the story to go viral, with users on the social network asking if he was really going to cure the little bug. About the episode Thanu wrote in his account: “This is not a joke. It indicates compassion and pity towards every creature. Every life is precious … I wish there were more people like this in the world… Kindness sustains the world“.

And kindness definitely supported the little cockroach, which thanks to the treatment of the vet it recovers health. In an update on his famous patient, Thanu said when the time is right the cockroach will be returned to the care of the man who brought it to the hospital.
