A Virginia woman in the United States was arrested for hiding her mother's body for 44 days, according to local authorities.

Jo-Whitney Outland, 55, of Bristol, hid the body of Rosemary Outland, 78, under 54 blankets at her home in southeastern Virginia, Sgt. Steve Crawford said.

Rosemary would have died on December 29th. The woman covered the corpse with blankets and forbade the family to enter the house. Jo slept next to his dead mother.
