The lawsuit against her parents began in 2020. At that time, her alimony claim was dismissed by a family court judge. The case has now reached the Court of Appeal.

But the lawsuit against his parents was not the only one that Siddiqui brought. In 2018, he took legal action against the University of Oxford, the very home of studies where he graduated.
