Thanks to his career in fine arts and his taste for craftsmanship, Luján has always had a design-oriented look and thought that the combinations used by the master gardeners were too simple. The white or square aprons without footprints and with standardized patterns did not inspire the joy of a garden, and that motivated her to make it with more amusing patterns.

"My career partners and others who saw them started to order me and that is how the business started, almost like a hobby," says Lucero, who has already installed a small workshop in Cipolletti and manufactures today up to 80 combinations a month, which he sells in all. Argentine provinces and countries such as Ecuador, Peru or the United States.

Although he now has some help, Luján's eyes are at the heart of the company spirit. She chooses fabrics in Buenos Aires factories and is encouraged to step out of the mold: she uses upholstery and other textures that she mixes to create new proposals. It is also based on children's films that their children watch or on the drawings they give to print the combination with simple but full of attitude drawings.

Luján has 10 children aged 3 to 20 years old. He badures that his dedication to Guardapolvos Locos appeared when he created his large family and that he could not meet the schedules as a garden teacher. About ten years ago, he chose to sew from home and sell his products online, anticipating the method of purchase that would prevail later in the world.

And for the support of a specialized magazine, he managed to sneak into the gardens of other countries. "It's an international magazine that bought me a combination in Paraguay, Ecuador and even California, where he asked me for more items to sell," he says.

Lujan says that he has no customers but fans. The most daring teachers are encouraged to use fluoride and designs to transmit other energy into the garden. "The gardener teacher is seen as a calm person dressed in pink, but they are also women who love fashion and are beautiful," says the designer about his articles, which are not just a uniform, but a real concept related to the joy that should prevail in the initial education.

Clouds with eyelashes, pirates, birds and unicorns cheer Luján's delirious jumpsuit, which has been recognized as a finalist for the Ships program as part of her project.

-> An entrepreneur with 10 children

Luján Lucero works full-time as an entrepreneur, which forces him to simultaneously think about many things and to train himself on topics that she has never addressed in his career. gardener, such as finance or digital marketing.

However, he chose this profession mainly to have more time available for his big family.

"We function like a chaotic orchestra," jokes Luján about his ten children, of different ages.

"Now I have the help of the greats who help me take care of the little ones," he says adding that he had taught everyone to be independent and to participate to household chores.

The double work of Luján did not prevent him from being part of Naves, a demanding competitor of Banco Macro, in which Guardapolvos Locos was finalist. "After participating, I felt winning and when they said my name, I could not believe it," recalls the designer.

In addition to opening the door to training in the business world and providing tools to enhance their entrepreneurial spirit, Luján has gained recognition generally granted to the technology or hydrocarbon related industries. "It's great that design is also rewarded," he says.
