Faced with his need, he imagined a hoax to violate his privacy: a man who had offered to change a lamp in a neighbor’s bathroom he installed a hidden camera. After discovering the device, the young woman reported it and has been arrested.

Spain’s National Police reported on Thursday that a 42-year-old man had been arrested in Dénia, Alicante, after a complaint was filed against him. During an operation at the suspect’s home, files with pedophile content, some that would have been produced by him.

The investigation began after a young woman approached the local police station to report that she had discovered in the ceiling of her bathroom a video camera hidden in a small hole, right next to the one of the lamps. Consulted for his suspicions, The woman remembered leaving the keys with a neighbor so he could replace the light It had stopped working, at which point you think you installed the device.

The police later applied to the court for the relevant authorization to search the suspect’s home. Once there, the authorities found videos related to the complaint as well as numerous files of child pornography.

After the man’s arrest, national police identified other victims, including another woman who was recorded with another hidden camera placed in a bathroom in a house where the arrested man previously lived. Now, the crimes of sexual abuse of minors, production and distribution of child pornography and violation of privacy are attributed to him.
