A woman residing in the Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung took her son to the hairdresser for an embarrassing haircut in an attempt to protect him from Covid-19, the outlet reported. RT.

Last May, the mother convinced her 15-year-old son to cut his hair amid isolation measures imposed on Taiwan due to a new wave of coronavirus infections.

The woman asked the hairdresser to cut the child with him not wanting to go out on the street. Initially, they thought they would put a “Covid-19” inscription on his head, but assumed it would not be effective, he reports. RT.

They eventually decided to only shave half of his head, and despite his teenage anger, the barber received many requests from parents asking him to do similar jobs for their children.

In response, the salon ran a promotion of free “coronavirus preventive cuts” for teens between the ages of 12 and 15 who don’t like staying at home.
