A 93 year old woman resident of Matlock, England, llloved the police to help her search for Toby, a little Cavalier King Charles spaniel, as she couldn’t find him. The phone call came after 2 days of intense searching by the woman. Once the officers arrived, the least expected happened, the dog was stuck under a reclining chair.

While Tammy Wood, one of the agents was talking to the lady about the search for the Cavalier, an object fell to the ground, so he bent down to pick it up. At that moment, he saw the animal that was standing quietly under the seat. It is not known how Toby was for days in this position of even emitting a timid bark to ask for help.

The puppy was in his own house.

At that point, the police were able to carefully remove the dog from its traffic jam, as it turned out to be hungry and thirsty.

“Her family, friends and neighbors were looking for Toby, but she felt more and more anxious over time, believing he had made it out and fearing the worst.” explained the officer who found the dog.

“Toby and his owner seemed delighted to be reunited and it was clearly a great relief for the woman.” the agent concluded happily.

It turns out that the Cavalier King Charles spaniel is not just any breed, he is used to flashes and cameras. Dogs like these have appeared in dozens of films Among which the Two Queens, The Young Victoria, Forbidden Beauty and Married to Mr. Darcy stand out.

And if that wasn’t enough, this breed was the presidential dog. The american president Ronald Reagan, gave a copy to his wife Nancy at Christmas 1985. They christened him Rex and he lived with them in the White House for the remainder of his presidency, then in his residence in California after the couple left Washington DC.
