Fortunately, the operation went well and the doctor removed the phone from her stomach. Telaku posted photos of the phone on Facebook, along with x-rays and endoscopic images. It was in the man’s stomach.
“I received a call about a patient who swallowed an object and after doing a scan we noticed that the phone had split into three parts ”, Telaku told local media in Kosovo.
“Of all the parts, it was the battery that worried us the most because it could have exploded in the belly of the man”, added.
The man reportedly went to hospital in the capital Pristina after suffering from stomach aches. He had swallowed a Nokia 3310 phone and did not say why, according to the doctor.
In the photos, you can see the doctor and his team locate and retrieve the phone from the stomach, an operation that took two hours until the device was removed.
