A woman was arrested in Wales, accused of taking her baby to a bowling alley for a month, getting drunk, fainting and killing him. The English courts sentenced her to two years and four months in prison for negligence.
The event is produced when Marina Tilby, 26, attended a nightclub accompanied by her four-week-old daughter, called Darrian. Witnesses who were in the bowling alley said they saw the mother "play" to throw her baby into the air in a state of intoxication.
Later that night, the woman and her sister left with three men at the disco. Tilby was asleep on her son and when his sister noticed, she took out Darrian but it was too late: there was blood in her mouth and she was dead.
The one month old boy was rushed to the hospital, but his mother could not accompany her because she was very drunk. At 5 o'clock in the morning, the police woke her up to say goodbye to her dead son.
The prosecutor Catherine Richards He claimed that Tilby was asleep on his son, who then suffered a heart attack. But the medical evidence could not prove that being above him had contributed to his death, nor could it be excluded that he had suffered a sudden death.
The judge Paul Thomas He criticized Tilby for "deliberate negligence" towards his son. "It's the mother's responsibility, the mother's duty and her natural instinct to give priority to the care and safety of her four-week-old child," she said and sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
