With temperatures above 35 ° C in some localities in the province of Chubut, a heat wave hits the south of the country and the alarm goes off in case of forest fire.

In Puerto Madryn and Esquel, temperatures reached 32 degrees this afternoon, while in the town of Trelew a record was recorded, reaching 42 degrees.

The province's director of civil defense, Walter Flores, told TN that, beyond the heat, we have low humidity and wind gusts of up to 30 km / h, which is why we are very concerned about the appearance of fire sources.

According to weather forecasts from the National Meteorological Service (NMS), next Tuesday, a cold front will pause south after a summer of record temperatures, as the thermal sensation will be about 25 degrees.

However, the authorities believe that the phenomenon can be prolonged until March.
