In this context, although for a good part of the year the measures of isolation and social, preventive and compulsory distancing will persist, in a large part of the country it is already possible to travel with authorization and by maintaining the corresponding protocols for take advantage of the days off.

In the various tourist destinations of the country, they are already preparing for the summer season 2020/2021 it will start as usual with the holiday season.

This modality began in 2017, with the sanction of the Law 27399, which limited to three days the number of times per year that the government could order for this purpose. In the case of 2021, for example, “with the incorporation of the extended long weekend from Friday 8 to Monday 11 October, the national government encourages tourist getaways in the spring, to reproduce the successful experience since the resumption of the carnival holidays and continue to reactivate the sector, affected worldwide by the COVID-19 pandemic ”, described the Ministry of the Interior in a press release referring to this type of vacation.

Another objective mentioned in Law No. 27,399 (Law establishing public holidays and long weekends) is that the public holidays defined each year by the national government are “linked to the reduction of the negative effects of seasonality in the country. the tourism sector. , trying to distribute them on time. ”

In this sense, since May 25, the day of the May Revolution and national real estate holiday, falls on Tuesday, it has been determined as a public holiday for tourist purposes. Monday May 24. This will set up a four day long weekend during this month.
