The island of Tenerife is still reeling from new revelations in the macabre case of Tomás Gimeno, the man who he killed his two daughters to get revenge on his former partner. According to the investigation carried out by the Spanish authorities, after committing the crime, the murderer went to his parents to leave the dog, some credit cards and his bank codes, and he did it with the corpses of the two girls in the trunk of the car.

Gimeno was last seen in the marina of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, loading his boat with several bags and was able to set sail up to twice, although he never had been seen with the girls. The next day, the man’s boat was found empty, adrift and without an anchor in front of the harbor.

This week, a Spanish island court ordered the end of research at sea for Tomás Gimeno and his daughter Anna, 1 year old, whom he allegedly murdered with his 6-year-old sister Olivia and threw himself into the water before committing suicide.

As a result of these efforts, during this period there were several discoveries, among which the little Olivia’s body at a depth of 888 meters inside a sports bag attached to an anchor.

On June 21, a portable compressed air cylinder, used for scuba diving, was located at a depth of 1331 meters, and the same day the vessel found a second cylinder identical to the previous one, at the same depth.

The report presented to the tribunal by the ship’s officials concluded that the work to be undertaken now was “completely inaccessible”, given the depth of the area.
