Agree with Forbes, Ricardo Salinas Pliego is the third richest man in Mexico, only behind Carlos Slim and Germán Larrea Mota Velasco, also known as “the king of copper”. The luxury boat was built in 2009 and Ricardo Salinas Pliego acquired it in July 2010, the same year the yacht entered the list of the 100 largest and most luxurious pleasure craft in the world, where the “TV” also entered, owned at the time by the owner of Televisa Group and of Club Deportivo America, Emilio Azcárraga Jean.

Previously, andThe yacht “Azteca” belonged to the Spanish businessman Francisco Hernando, popularly known as “Paco El Porcero”, who decided to put up for sale the boat which he could only enjoy for nine months due to financial problems. In view of this, Ricardo Salinas Pliego took advantage of the offer and acquired the boat which had previously been given the name “Clarena II”.

As reported by the magazine Treat, the sale was made through the broker Engel & Völkers Yachting Madrid, which the company confirmed in 2010 that the buyer paid around a billion pesos to acquire the boat.

In addition to being 72 meters long, the yacht can accommodate up to 20 people and her 100 square meter stern has a beach club. According to the site Cattle 360, some of the trips made by the businessman in the Spanish seas have been to Valencia, Seville, Marbella and Sotogrande; as well as a trip through the Mediterranean Sea, which surrounds the countries of Europe, Asia and Africa.

In 2018 the yacht was moored at Puerto Banus, one of the most important and luxurious marinas in the world, which is part of the cities of Nueva Andalucía, Marbella, Málaga, Andalusia and Spain.
