‘How it started, how it goes’: nurse showed change in her face after working for months against Covid-19

More than nine months have passed and the world continues to fight COVID-19. In this sense, and so that the measures and controls are not relaxed but rather that the methods of care and prevention continue, a nurse made a comparison of her face on social networks to convey a message.

It is Kathryn. AT 27 years and is located in Tennessee, USA, where it is dedicated to the care and service of patients. The young woman had notable repercussions after posting the difference in her face on Twitter after working for months against the pandemic and various diseases, in a context that made them more complex.

“How it started … how is it going”, was the slogan, and his photos reached various people, to the point of being interviewed by media outlets like the British newspaper Metro: “Saturday night I was in the middle of a shift, had just come out of a patient’s room and had just removed all my equipment. I had the image in my head of getting of the diploma and I wanted to show the difference a few months ago and the reality of being a nurse in the pandemic. ”

“I love being a nurse. I never expected to be a new nurse in a highly politicized pandemicBut life comes to you quickly and even with a pandemic you don’t want to do anything else. Taking care of the sickest with this disease is an honor and I appreciate my patients, ”he added.

Looking ahead to the Christmas and New Years holidays, Kathryn expressed her concern and said that she did not wish anyone sick. “I have resigned myself to the fact that things are going to be at their worst in a few weeks, but I just want it to happen now, so we can get it over with.”, he stated.

“We’ve been in disaster mode the entire time I’m a nurse. I have no idea what it’s like to be a nurse under normal circumstances, ”she said honestly.
