Hurricane Enrique crosses the Pacific: it should move to category two

Hurricane Enrique, a category 1 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, continues to progress in the waters of the Pacific Ocean and is expected to strengthen in the coming hours.

The National Meteorological Service (NMS) reported that the center of the system was located early Sunday just 315 kilometers south of Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, and 715 kilometers southeast of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.

In the next few hours, the system will strengthen and become a Category 2 hurricane. This will happen when you are off Jalisco, about 150 kilometers southwest of Playa Perula; its winds will then beat from 155 to 195 km / h.

It will stay that way until early Monday morning, then weaken and return to level 1. On the morning of June 30, the cyclone could impact Baja California Sur in the form of a tropical storm, with winds exceeding 65 km / h.
