I was outraged, I was filled with rage and at the same time everything crossed my mind, yell at him, throw me at him or just stay with my anger and leave out of fear», He said.

He remembered that after a few moments he came to himself, came to his senses and shouted about the subject: “What’s wrong with you, why are you touching me”. He said he was finishing talking and getting off his bike when suddenly five other men approached the scene.

“To my surprise, the first touched the subject then the other, until the field was armed. I was stunned watching, I couldn’t believe it. I was about to do something, to defend myself (I don’t know how and how dangerous that would have been). But they were there ”.

The lawmaker said that at this point, people around came to see and ask what was going on, while the other subjects kept hitting the abuser.

The legislator did not indicate whether after the fact she denounced the assailant or whether he accused the passer-by who helped her with physical assault.

After two and a half years like local deputy to the Green Party Ecologist from Mexico (PVEM), Alessandra Rojo de la Vega announced his resignation at the political body on June 9. The news was startling, given that he competed for a federal council and PVEM was one of the big winners, in alliance with Morena and PT, during the Intermediate elections June 6.

However, for the now independent legislator, his “congruence” before the feminist struggle, the environment and animal welfare. This is what he said on Thursday in interviews with journalist Adela Micha:

“By congruence […] Being there no longer made me feel comfortable, it wasn’t something that kept me in peace “

According to De la Vega, the straw that broke the camel’s back was that the match used the pain of women to make election propaganda, highlighting the case of Ricardo Ponce, the “guru” of self-healing, accused of sex crimes in the state of Quintana Roo.
