IMF on Argentina: the recession eases and a gradual recovery will continue in the coming quarters

IMF spokesman Gerry Rice said that "Significant progress has been made on the macroeconomic front", when he was consulted on the future of the Argentine economy at the usual press conference offered by the organization.

The IMF is in the process of completing the fourth review of the current program and submitting the report to the Fund Board for approval of the next disbursement, estimated at $ 5.5 billion.

Until now, there is no scheduled date to deal with the case of Argentina, by 20 June.

With the recovery of US $ 5,500 million, Argentina will have received 78% of the total program, which will require total disbursements of US $ 57,000 million.
