Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro introduced the DR-10 molecule to the company, which he says “annihilates” the coronavirus in its entirety and has been sent to the World Health Organization for study and approval.

The molecule was manufactured at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), which ensured that the molecule neutralizes Covid-19 “without any toxicity affecting healthy molecules to generate negative side effects. “

In a video posted on Twitter by Rafael “Drácula” Lacava, controversial governor of Carabobo, Maduro discovers the molecule in public and thanks Venezuelan scientists for this discovery.

“Here is the DR-10, this molecule neutralizes and eliminates one hundred percent the coronavirus. With that we go. It is the pure molecule. Here we advance for the Venezuelan people and for humanity, for health, against the coronavirus. At a firm, rigorous and disciplined scientific rhythm, ”explains the chavist leader, showing the molecule to the camera.

“I congratulate all the Venezuelan scientists who have certified this creation. Venezuelan spirit. So here we are. May God bless our homeland,” he added.

The Venezuelan government said in mid-October that the studies came from a plant with medicinal activities, which had been transferred to IVIC by a group of researchers to begin a chemical study of its properties.

“The chemical study was launched which was monitored thanks to the biological activity in cells infected with the virus isolated from Venezuelan patients Sars-Cov2, from the same viruses that we are sequencing in the country”, said the minister Venezuelan science and technology, Gabriela Jimenez.

In this sense, the official reported that “the active principle of the molecule has been identified, it is a derivative of ursolic acid, and this molecule shows a hundred percent inhibition of viral replication in vitro”.

Since the first two cases of the coronavirus were detected in Venezuela on March 13, Maduro has subsequently recommended a series of home remedies and alternative treatments to treat Covid-19 and lessen its effects. Some of these treatments have been ridiculed, while others have been well received by medical experts, arguing that they help cure those infected.

According to Johns Hopkins University, Venezuela has 100,143 confirmed cases and 873 deaths since the start of the pandemic, although the numbers have been questioned by local citizens and the international community.
