The Villa de Leyva, one of the main tourist attractions in Boyacá, was covered in white on the afternoon of February 14 following a hailstorm that affected its streets with colonial architecture, cultures rural areas and public establishments.
In some places, as the tracks were blocked by ice, relief agencies had to make a presence. The mayor, Javier Castellanos, visited the municipality with the police and emergency care personnel to take stock of the coming hours.
