In video, they record an alleged ghost that scares in broad daylight in Mompox, Bolívar

“He who has seen a spirit can no longer be as if he has never seen it.»A saying goes in reference to the appearance of ghosts. And in Mompox, Bolívar, the last days have taken on particular importance.

Since March 4, some videos have started to go viral on Twitter recording how what some call a ghost, destroys a window in a house in the municipality. Who shared them was the owner of the property and also a journalist, Andrés Jiménez.

Why think he’s a ghost? In the audiovisual recordings, one can see the way in which an indeterminate force pushes a window, located at the entrance of the house, forward, until it falls. This strength, however, is not seen.

In the first video, taken from a camera that focuses on the entrance to the street, we see that the window is pushed forward from one of its sides, so much so that in the event of a collision with the platform, the windows are broken. Immediately, a person inside the house watches what has happened.

The second video, taken from inside the building, shows that behind the window and next to a white chair, there is a woman. However, she is on her back and at least three feet from the window. When she sits down, he begins to move forward, as if pushed, until he capsizes. Whoever appears in the video is frightened by the sound of the broken glass, gives up his chores and, when he sees the window on the road, takes the lead as a sign of concern.

Along with one of the shared recordings, Andrés Jiménez said:

In our house in Mompox, there is a ghost. The very brazen one no longer cares about misdeeds day or night. Today he was captured by security cameras. #What fear

According to the journalist, a few days ago to what happened with the window – on March 3 – his father had told him that there was a ghost who was only passing him by scaring him, moving the objects in the house from side to side. Neither Andrés Jiménez nor his brothers believed him, but at his insistence, they chose to install security cameras.

“For days Dad said he felt a ghost at home that scared him and moved everything, none of his kids believed him. At his insistence and without his knowledge, we decided to install cameras; today it was recorded that dad was not crazy and that he was right “, said Andrés Jiménez.

In Mompox, the first city in Colombia – the kingdom of New Granada at the time – to proclaim absolute independence from Spain, on August 6, 1810, it was not the first time that people were afraid. The local press claims that there have been various appearances of girls and even ghost cars, which in addition to demonstrating in old houses, they do so in the municipal cemetery.
