The Institute of the National Workers’ Housing Fund (Infonavit) has a series of programs for the benefit of hundreds of beneficiaries seeking to liquidate their homes, such as “Infonavit 90 Diez”.

It is a scheme which rewards willingness to paybecause it helps workers who are up to date with monthly financing payments and are satisfied.

According to the institute’s website, this project was started to support workers who already have an advance of 90% or more of your credit payment.

Consequently, Infonavit grants an equivalent discount to the remainder of the debt, in order to settle the total balance thereof.

How it works?

The institute will select the most satisfied users, who will see their balance reflected on their account statement, which can be viewed via the My Infonavit account site. The program applies automatically, so no additional procedures are required.

If selected, the interested party must download the notice of suspension of remittances and give it to their employer to avoid extraordinary deductions and generate excess or additional payments.

For more information, Infonavit asked beneficiaries to go to the Infonavit (Cesi) service center closest to their home.

For its part, the institute revealed a few days ago what are the benefits of the reform of the Infonavit law, which began in the middle of a dialogue with representatives of the labor, business and government sectors in the entities of the country.

According to Infonavit, the agency has a period of 120 days, which ends on April 16 to determine the operating rules of the programs that will be part of the project.

Carlos Martínez Velázquez, Managing Director of Infonavit, will engage in dialogue with various businessmen and representatives in the states, in order to refine the implementation of the reform of the law, which was approved in December 2020.

It is a reform with which beneficiaries will be able to access financing freely, directly and without intermediaries.

They can also apply for subsequent credits after the previous loan has been paid off.

Citizens who do not currently contribute, but have savings in their housing sub-account, can use this resource to obtain the required credit.

The Board of Directors of Infonavit will determine the maximum amounts of funding it will grant, the income of the workers, the sale of land, among others.

The reform of the law, proposed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, was approved by the Congress of the Union and published in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) Last December.

After various institutions were able to grant loans directly and without intermediaries, the Issste Housing Fund (Fovissste) recalled a few days ago, who is the platform that will guide and help the beneficiary to build his home.

This is the Decide y Construye tool, which will collect special information so that families can make the best decision when building, expanding or renovating their home.
