Intense snowfall is expected in the mountains from tonight

This Tuesday at 10 am, the pbadage to Col Cristo Redentor was activated after the storm of Monday. However, the border complex could suspend vehicle traffic in the coming hours.

In this sense, the National Meteorological Service (NMS) is forecasting snowfall for tonight, with temperatures likely to drop in the early morning to 15 degrees below freezing.

Similarly, the forecasts of the NMS announce snowfall Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, in addition to a weather alert that indicates for Wednesday the possibility of accumulating half a meter of snow.

Moreover, this Tuesday did not open the other border crossing point that Mendoza has with Chile, the Pehuenche, in the department of Malargüe. The cause was the accumulation of snow on the road.
