International Sushi Day: why it’s celebrated today – Sabores

[ad_1]

Each June 18 is celebrated on International Sushi Day, a food of Japanese origin which, in recent years, has gained more and more followers.

Very different from what we believe, the origin of this anniversary did not occur in Japan, but in United States.

It all started with a Facebook page called “Sushi“, which was managed by Chris DeMay. From this place he shared some recipes and information about this food until, in 2009, proposed the commemoration.
