Multi-month-old puppy Michael D. Higgins’ new pet kept biting the politician as he paid tribute to a friend, Irish actor Tom Hickey.

Although “Ignorance,” as the president’s mascot calls it, demanded the politician’s attention, Higgins remained steadfast in his position to continue the interview, though he gave up on “lending” his fingers so that the other cheek.

“Michael was talking about his longtime friend, Tom Hickey, who had passed away the night before. The dog probably felt his deep pain. And I think he finds that heartwarming. It’s a wonderful time, ”Irish actor Donal O’Kelly wrote.

This isn’t the first time that Higgins’ dogs have taken all the cameras: Misneach and Bród (means pride) are the two Bernese breeders, who even have their own stories of Twitter.
