Isaiah Thomas reportedly signed a one-year contract with Nuggets for the veteran's minimum

Former All-Star playmaker Isaiah Thomas is no longer a free agent. After spending more than 10 days on the market, Thomas signed a contract for at least one year with the Denver Nuggets, according to Adrian Wojnarowski .

Thomas came out of one of the most disappointing seasons of his professional career, one where he was traded by the Boston Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers, then returned by the Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers. The trades were the result of his struggles to bounce back from a debilitating hip injury that cost him the first half of the 2017-18 season. It could not have been the year that Thomas was considering an average of 28.9 points per game and would end up as a MVP candidate in Boston in 2017.

Thomas plans to be the leader behind Jamal Murray and he's in good health, he can immediately contribute to a Nuggets team that fell just before the playoff picture in the Western Conference last season . He joins a talented team that also includes Gary Harris, Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic, who recently signed a $ 158 million contract extension for five years.
