The President added that: "The ideas of superiority, national purity, xenophobia, shameless and gloomy anti-Semitism, from left to right, are ubiquitous in Europe".

Rivlin warned that "No political interest or consideration can justify dishonorable alliances with racist groups or elements that do not recognize their past and responsibility for Holocaust crimes."

However, the president stressed the strength of the Jewish people in relation to the time of the Holocaust.

"The State of Israel is not just a stable democracy, we also have an important military, diplomatic and economic power, and we will always defend the State and the Jewish communities of the world "Rivlin warned.

Netanyahu also denounced the dangers of modern anti-Semitism.
