“The vaccine generates three types of immunity (mucous membranes, blood and cells) which are not offered by the intramuscular vaccine, ”he stressed.

However, the expert acknowledged that “for now the level of effectiveness is unknown”. “What has been seen is that, as far as Pfizer and Moderna are concerned, it offers the same level of immunity,” he said.

Roizin pointed out that the greatest strength is that “an oral vaccine produces great ease of administration”.
