"It's crazy, it's like in movies." The words of Miles Joyner, a nephew of Stacy Lynnette Joyner, murdered 27 years ago, testify to the disbelief of the family after learning that The murderer was a well-known man and had a great friendship with several members of the victim's family.

On April 11, 1992, Stacey Lynnette Joyner was found naked, with two gunshot wounds to her head, on the roof of Lott Avenue, in Brownsville, in the eastern suburb of Brooklyn. The security guards in the building reportedly heard a gunshot and climbed onto the roof where they found his body.

The crime of the 21-year-old girl was unpunished. However, Brooklyn attorneys have now discovered something unusual: they had never performed the DNA tests. Although they took different samples of the victim's body, they never compared the genetic traces to the suspects, confirms the New York Post.

Calvin Grant, 52, was arrested last week after the authorities discovered that no one had yet performed DNA tests on swabs taken from the prisoner's mouth.

Prosecutors combined the DNA found in Joyner's mouth with that of Grant, from a sample taken by the authorities on the accused following a robbery conviction in 2000.

The evidence indicated that the DNA belonged to Calvin Grant, who was in police records since 2000 after a conviction for theft.

These indications indicated a crime with badual connotations. The victim and the abuser were neighbors. According to a sister of the victim, Grant had shown a keen interest in going out with Joyner. Until one time, he said: "I love your sister"

Jaqueline, Joyner's mother, said that no one had worried about the death of her daughter, who "had just swept her under the rug" even when "everyone was suspected" of Grant .

"How did not they check it out? It was like they did not really care," she complained unconsciously. "This guy was a monster."

"The killer lived here all the time, he walks among us smiling at us," he said. Grant is in detention and could be sentenced to 25 years imprisonment for a second degree crime.
