It was the rage of "Roma" in Mexico City

The Mexico City Ministry of Culture has been tasked with installing at least two points in the streets of the capital to watch live the Oscars.

This one Sunday, February 24 the capitalists followed closely the ceremony during which "Rome" of Alfonso Cuarón won three statuettes: best photography, best foreign film and best director.

On one side of the Monument to the Revolution, in the city center of the capital, hundreds of citizens gathered from 14:30 to attend concerts and dance to the rhythm of the cumbia with groups like Sound and light of bad and strength.

Cries and applause rocked Republic Square when it was announced that "Roma" had won the Best Foreign Film Award.

During the awards ceremony, Alfonso Cuarón sent a message to all those who were at the monument to the revolution: "Thank you very much for being here".

On the square Rio de Janeiro, emblematic park of the Roma district, it was planned to project the film Cuarón before the transmission of prices. However, due to a question of production rights, the film could not be screened.

A hundred people gathered on this site and some reported low sound quality and a time lag in price transmission.

However, participants were not discouraged and some felt privileged to be able to continue to award the awards of the colony where the first Mexican film was shot for 10 nominations.

Director Alfonso Cuarón received the prize for best photography for the film "Roma" at the 91st Academy Awards at Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California.
