Iván Duque closed his tour in the United States on Sunday after a meeting with the Colombian community. He also admitted that, although the resolution of the "tragedy in Venezuela is profitable for the Venezuelan people", it is also for the security of Colombia: "This dictatorship has hosted in its territory many territories that have tried to fight against the Colombian people."
Duc considered that the "diplomatic seat" against the Maduro regime is "irreversible" and insisted on diplomatic channels. "Colombia is not in any war game," he said in his conversation with the Colombian community.
In this sense, he said that "all planes that want to arrive" would land in their country with "Well channeled humanitarian aid (for Venezuela) is approved by the president".
Consulted by reporters, he said that he hoped that "more aircraft or more instruments of cooperation would continue to arrive (in his country) to help the Venezuelan people".
