Jeanine Áñez demanded that Luis Almagro go to Bolivia and that “a stop to the pimps of power”

The letter was delivered to the OAS by his daughter, Caroline Ribera, who traveled to the United States this week to denounce the “dramatic situation“From his mother, as Ribera said from the former president’s Twitter account.

Ribera said he had provided the OAS with “all information on the precarious state of health” of Áñez.

He also asked the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, an organ of the OAS, to rule on a request for provisional measures submitted by the Áñez defense team on August 27.

The lawyers justified the request by stating “threats, harassment and attacks on the life and personal integrity of the former president”.

On August 31, the IACHR gave the Bolivian government seven days to inform it of Áñez’s health.

This Friday, the Bolivian government announced that it had already sent the requested information to the IACHR.

The State Attorney General, Wilfredo Chavezindicated that in the response to the IACHR, sent Thursday evening, the body is asked to declare the request for provisional measures “inadmissible” because “there is no element” to support it.

According to Chávez, a medical meeting held on September 7, at which Áñez’s trusted doctor was supposed to be present, determined that the former president “is not in the condition alleged in the precautionary measure request” .
