Jeanine Añez tried to kill herself in a Bolivian prison, where she is still being held

The former acting president of Bolivia, Jeanine ñez, attempted suicide in the last hours in La Paz prison, where he has been staying since March.

The information came from the Bolivian government, which indicated that the woman is out of danger and with superficial wounds in one of his arms.

For this reason, the prison administration will assess with the corresponding professionals the state of mental health of the former Bolivian legislator since, according to the executive of this country, he has not yet justified his decision.

From the surroundings of Añez, they indicated that the action It’s “a cry for help” because of his condition detained, transferred several times to hospital in less than a week due to hypertension.

Añez is serving preventive detention in a prison in Miraflores, in the Bolivian capital, since March 13, after the events related to to the coup d’état against Evo Morales in November 2019.

Meanwhile, since last Friday he also joined against her a formal indictment for the massacres of Senkata and Sacaba, in which 37 protesters died after being brutally repressed. Thus, these costs are added to those of terrorism, sedition and conspiracy for which it has already been investigated.
