Jersey, the small island in the English Channel that sparked the first post-Brexit fight between France and Great Britain

This week this island of barely 118 km2 and 100,000 inhabitants, which was occupied by the Nazis until May 9, 1945, was the cover of major European newspapers and portals in what appears to be one of the first post-Brexit conflicts. For a dispute with France on new fishing licenses, Britain sent two Navy patrol boats to the coast of the island as a warning. The French government, for its part, threatened to cut the power supply to Jersey. We spoke with Gail Scriven, from LA NACION, about the conflict, which also described in detail his visits to the island of Jersey, where his ancestors came from.
