Joe Biden appoints Antony Blinken as secretary …

The President-elect of the United States, Joe biden, plans to name the famous career diplomat Antony Blinken as Secretary of State. The name is one of many who have started leaking from the Democrat’s work team, who decided to give definitions as Trump continues his fraud allegations no evidence on the elections.

The decision to appoint Blinken is a nod to the return of multilateralism after the departure of Donald Trump from the country’s traditional allies. The 58-year-old was number two in the State Department along with former Democratic President Barack Obama.

If confirmed by the Senate, Blinken would replace Trump’s tough man Mike Pompeo, whose priorities at the forefront of US diplomacy included a confrontational relationship with China and containment of Iran.

The rest of Biden’s cabinet

“You will see the first election for the president-elect of his cabinet on Tuesday this week,” future chief of staff Ron Klain told the ABC news network.

This morning the local press reported that Jake Sullivan will be appointed national security adviser, another veteran assistant to Biden. While Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who was commissioned for Africa at the State Department under President Obama, would be anointed ambassador to the UN.

What we know is that Biden will appoint his first elected to join his government team tomorrow. The idea is to show that he is continuing his preparations to assume the presidency on January 20, regardless of Trump’s attempts to challenge the November 3 election results.

Klain declined to specify, however, which positions Biden will advertise, although Biden himself said last week that he has already decided who will take the key position of secretary of the treasury.

Trump still does not recognize his defeat
