Joe Biden decrees more restrictions in the United States: the details

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced today that starting Monday, it will be mandatory to wear a mask on public transportation, a measure that had previously been announced by the president, Joe biden, although the effective date is not known.

The order was issued by the director of the Quarantine and Global Migration Division of the CDC, Martin Cetron, in response to the decree signed by Biden on June 21, one day after taking office, the Europa Press news agency reported.

The decree called for “immediate action” in relation to the use of masks for “all forms of public transport”.

The new standard will be applied in all commercial public transport (planes, trains, boats and buses) and in transport hubs, such as air terminals, train stations, metro stations, sea ports and bus stations.

It also covers rail ferries and taxis, according to the CDC statement collected by NBC, which states that drivers and transport workers should also wear masks.

Order does not apply to children under 2, commercial trucks and military transport. Travelers do not have to wear a mask when eating or drinking.

The United States is the country most affected by the pandemic, with nearly 26 million infected and 436,841 deaths from the coronavirus, according to the tally by local Johns Hopkins University.
