In May of this year, Mauricio Macri confirmed on CNN en Español signal that he had accepted the coronavirus vaccine during a trip to Miami.
The 62-year-old former president took a selfless pose to explain that “the least I could do as a contribution was to go and pay for a vaccine in the United States to release (that of) someone in Argentina, because months will pass until all Argentines can be vaccinated.
But what is curious in the Macri case is that in the United States, the cost of the dose and its application is not passed on to the immune person, as Joe Biden recalled this Thursday.
“The Covid-19 vaccines are free. Get vaccinated, folks,” Biden told the still undecided population of the United States after more than a year of the pandemic, and this country being the most affected in the event and deaths from coronavirus.
In fact, some governors have offered everything from millionaire prizes to financial facilities for those who decide to get vaccinated in a bid to leave behind the most painful part of the pandemic. All for the same price: free.
