-We are in an election year and the president is re-elected. What is the impact on Argentina of the question of continuity of Mauricio Macri in power?

-For the outside and for the economic reforms undertaken by Argentina, which argue in favor of a rationality of the variables of the economy, the message aims to maintain the continuity of these measures. The President is well aware that the measures taken, especially after the crisis of last year, are harsh and affect a large proportion of the people of Argentina, but that the important thing now is to persevere in this direction. And in the world, they tell us that we do not change course, because at the end of this road, they will find themselves in better conditions.

– Argentina, like many countries in the Lima group, wants the solution to come from the Venezuelans themselves, including their own armed forces, but it is obvious that Nicolás Maduro's regime is not sustainable. Most importantly, Venezuelans themselves are able to promote change within existing structures. The arrival of humanitarian aid will raise dilemmas that will need to be resolved by Venezuelans, whether from civil society or members of the armed forces. The duration of the Maduro diet can be discussed but it can hardly become a new Cuba for the future, as some say.

– A few days ago, the president went to Uruguay and spoke with Tabaré Vázquez about Venezuela. After this meeting, it was stated that for Uruguay, one thing was important and for Argentina, another. What badysis does it do?

-The position of Argentina on Venezuela is not rigid: it is the only one that can exist. The mbadive violation of human rights can not be tolerated. There are three million Venezuelans out of the country. This is the only possible against that. On the other hand, Uruguay is a nation with a great democratic tradition. It is one of the values ​​of Uruguayan society. And somewhere, it is sometimes important to note that, given this tradition of clear defense of democracy, there can be no clearer statement about the situation in Venezuela. I think that what was said by the former president (José) Mujica clearly marks a change of perception of the administration and the structures of the government, because I believe that every Uruguayan has a clear vision of the fact that There is no democracy in Venezuela. Mujica has taken a very clear position and I believe that the dialogue that Macri and Tabaré have had somehow reflects the limits that a political coalition may have and the reaffirmation on our part that it does not exist. There is no democracy in Venezuela. But reasonable countries have to work differently.
