Juan Guaidó pointed out that any international mediation should lead to the departure of Nicolás Maduro: "They will not confuse us"

"We appreciate all the efforts, but here we are clear and they will not confuse us"said the interim president, baduring that they corresponded to Norway's invitation to "get closer to the solutions that go through the cessation of the usurpation, the transitional government and free elections".

The opposition leader also badured that the regime was "so weak" that he wanted to "manipulate" with a dialogue: "Let's not fool ourselves, they are so weak that they wanted to manipulate us through dialogue, we went to the invitation of a friendly country like Norway".

During an act in Guatire, he asked to continue moving in the only direction to which the opposition is heading: "transitional government and free elections". "The dictatorship is defeated, we conquer democracy (…) The time has come to move forward to achieve freedom"he remarked.

Guaidó, recognized interim president by more than 50 countries, rejected the statements of Maduro, who proclaimed Friday the "beginning of negotiations" with the Venezuelan opposition in Norway.

Since he was proclaimed acting president on January 23, Guaidó has led numerous protests during which he called on the army to turn its back on the Chavista dictator.
