A few hours earlier, Lasso had received the Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, representing Guaidó. For its part, López and his wife also discussed the meeting on their social networks. and they pointed out that Lasso was very categorical in the need to attend the humanitarian drama suffered by Venezuelans who are in Ecuador. Among other proposals, the possibility of creating employment plans for the thousands of expatriates who fled the repression and misery in Venezuela was raised.
