Jujuy: creation of the first medical cannabis production center

The Department of National Security signed the authorization of first medical cannabis center in Argentina, it will work in Jujuy.

The center will be not only devoted to the production, but also to the scientific and medicinal studies of the substance. With this project, Jujuy will become this year the first province country to legally cultivate cannabis.

"Having the authorization of the Ministry of National Security implies that the project of the province of Jujuy is safe," he told Telam Gastón Morales, son of the governor Gerardo Morales and president of Cannabis Avatara, State Corporation.

Harvesting will be done in an open field on an area of ​​5 to 15 hectares and the seeds will arrive at the end of the month to start germination. If production and industrialization progress, they will start producing cannabis oil this year and the game should appear "between August and November".

For its part, Alejandra Cejas -The Vice-Provincial has filed a complaint with the Superior Court of Justice of Jujuy to ask for the unconstitutionality of the law, because it claims to have for objective the export of drugs to the United States.
