Julia Budd defends her belt by defeating Talita Nogueira

Here's how Bellator 202's fight between Julia Budd and Talita Nogueira took place inside the WinStar World Casino and Resort

On July 13, Bellator landed in Thackerville, Oklahoma. In a featherweight fight, Julia Budd defended her title against Talita Nogueira

Budd (11-2 MMA, 5-0 Bellator) made her MMA debut in the Strikeforce Challengers series. The Canadian-born boxer kicker was 2-2 in the Strikeforce promotion, but his two losses were won by Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey

. Budd then signed with Invicta and won his next four fights. However, while in Invicta, Budd did not have the opportunity to fight the number one 145-pound Cree Cyborg fighter.

Budd then moved on to Bellator, winning the inaugural featherweight title on Marloes Coenen in his fourth fight in the organization. She defended her title nine months later against Arlene Blencowe.

In discussing with MMA Fighting, Budd discussed his place in the MMA of the woman and the possibility of fighting Cyborg

"I believe she is the best 145-er I am the number 2", said Budd. "That's what I believe in. I'm the Bellator world champion, she's the UFC world champion, but we're the best in our division and I think I'm the most balanced and because we have never fought, I can not really say "

Nogueira (7-0 MMA, 1-0 Bellator) is undefeated in her career as a professional fighter.This is only her second bout outside from his home country of Brazil.His first six matches have all been held in Sao Paulo.

Nogueira has completed all of his fights.Two of them have been done by TKO and she has five submissions Nogueira is the world champion of Jiu Jitsu 2011 and could try to gain the upper hand to win the battle.

Round 1

The fighters are out and Nogueira has continually changed level Budd appeared hesitant to s & # 39, engage and apart from a few kicks, the fighters remained in out of reach of typing.

Two minutes from the end, Nogueira kicked and Budd took the shot. Budd raises Nogueira and gets the withdrawal. It lands in lateral control and the first significant strikes are landed.

Nogueira tried to roll for one leg but ate some hard knocks instead. The round ended with Budd at the top and throwing shots. After a very slow start to the fight, Budd won the first round convincingly. FanSided scored 10-9 Budd.

Round 2

Thirty seconds after the second round and the first punch of the fight was landed. Budd threw a right and a left hook that reached his target

The two fighters stayed on the outside until Budd closed the distance and pressed Noguiera against the cage. For two minutes, Budd defeated Nogueira. She landed hard knees and elbows.

Budd landed a hard knee that caused Nogueira to collapse to the mat. Budd followed her and continued the beat. Nogueira was supposed to have the advantage on the field, but Budd neutralized any attack. FanSided Marked 10-8 Budd

Round 3

Once the round began, Budd followed Nogueira and took some hard shots. After a brief nod Nogueira went to his back and Budd received a hard punch.

Nogueira got Budd on guard and went to a butterfly. She tried to raise Budd and opt for a leg lock, but Budd's defense and his strikes made Nogueira's attack ineffective.

The fighters returned briefly to their feet. Budd then kicked hard and Nogueira dropped his hands. Budd landed some hard shots. Nogueira went ashore and Budd followed.

Budd punched and Nogueira tried to cover himself. Nogueira was helpless and the referee stepped in to save her with less than a minute left on the third lap
