the Squadron 421, a representation of the EZLN made up of seven members who plan to bring a message of life to Europe, embarked this Sunday, May 2, the ship said The mountain, a sailboat that will be responsible for crossing the Atlantic so that the delegates of the the peoples of southern Mexico are present on the old continent.

Since Friday April 30, the boat has been waiting for the Zapatistas at the quay of Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, where he was predisposed to start the journey. It should be remembered that diversity is part of the message, since the entourage is made up of four women, two men and one person who does not identify with any of these genders. This is why the number 421, along with the one they symbolically wear, will bear four cayucos sculpted and painted by members of the community installed in Chiapas, the entity where the movement was born.

This event did not go unnoticed by the world, since the intention to lead a representative delegation of the Zapatistas spread through social networks in order to establish resistance dialogues with the peoples of the old continent. In view of this, there have already been responses and citizens from various countries, mainly Spain, sympathized with the heirs of the indigenous anti-globalization struggle.

The route to spread the Zapatista message seems hasty, because in addition to visiting Spain, a country that colonized the territory in which Mexico is currently located, the 421 Squad will visit various world powers in which it excels. Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden and Turkey.

“The delegation received the mandate of the Zapatista peoples to make us forget our thoughts, that is to say our hearts.. Not only to embrace those on the European continent who rebel and resist, but also to listen and learn from their histories, geographies, timetables and ways of doing things, ”the EZLN said in a statement. Finally, it was recalled that the crew remained isolated to ensure that they are not carriers of COVID-19 and thus arrive in Europe without this obstacle.
